More than 3000 participated ‘Guru Ka Langar’ at Duliajan
The 553rd Birth Anniversary of the first Sikh Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji concluded today after a three day schedule from November 6 at Gurdwara Duliajan by Duliajan Sikh Sangat.
The observation of Guru Jayanti this year by the Gurdwara Duliajan began on November 6 with Nishan Sabib Sewa.
After that an Akhand Path i.e. Continuous and uninterrupted prayers of Sri Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was organized on the same day.
On November 7th the Akhand Path continued. Today the devotees concluded the three day continued Akhand Path.
As a concluded program from 1 pm today at the Duliajan Gurdwara premises, more than three thousand devotees from different religious faiths participated Guru Ka Langar , a program of Sikh beliefs to offer food items to all religions and the devotees of Guru Nanak Dev Ji .
This year we experienced a phenomenal participation from the devotees as the number exceed more than three thousand today who took Langar. – Iqbal Singh, general Secretary of the executive body of Gurdwara Duliajan said.
The Treasurer of the Committee Jaspal Singh said, “With blessings from the Waheguru we experienced such a massive participation in Guru Jayanti.”
The Gurdwara Duliajan executive body president Daljit Singh thanked all from the society who extend their support and cooperation to observed Guru Jayanti this year.
