AFGHANISTAN
Sadia Hashimi
More than one year of Taliban.
After the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021, every Afghan supposing that if there is social restrictions for all, especially woman to participate in political or social activities, Afghanistan will feel real peace and there will not be a group to suicide, no explosion, no fair, no killing or any other suicides.
Nevertheless, Afghans are experiencing the worst situation, especially from the point of security, where different groups are resisting against Taliban, especially the Daish Group and they are mostly targeting the Shia group of Muslims.
These attacks are not only indicating targeting a religious group (Shia), but it also indicates the weakness of the Taliban’s government in Afghanistan where they are not able to provide stable security.
Taliban never defend from the public, and they never let the media broadcast the real figure of explosions or the number of deaths in any attack. People never trust on Taliban and the distance between the Taliban and the public is increasing day by day.
Therefore, all these accidences are happing in Afghanistan from a security point people are trying to find a way to leave Afghanistan and settle in one of the European or USA countries, even if they are trying to escape from Afghanistan illegally.
As a result, the Taliban are not acceptable to any Afghan as not acceptable for the world.
[Sadia Hashimi about herself: I am an activist for Afghan Women’s education and empowerment, am always trying to bring any opportunities into the ground for Afghan women. I am in contact with foreign institutions and individuals, if they can provide any support for Afghan girls in current contexts.
From the very beginning, when I graduated from high school, started teaching English to Afghan girls and tried to cooperate with an international and local non-profit organization to spread the knowledge to my fellows and Afghan girls.
During my activities I work as a youth leader, trainer and specialist with many organizations including USAID, The Colombo Plan, Save the Children International, World Bank Project, and Capacity for Afghanistan (C4A) “a nationwide association” and Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC).
I also managed to handle the women empowerment association, as a president of AWCC Women Association, the very first association within the framework of AWCC organization. I was working to empower women’s education and positions.
Currently, I work as an Educational advisor with one of the educational institutes, “Khudkaar Training Center” as voluntarily, and as Project Trainer with Save the Children International.
I believe that the UN global movement should stand in solidarity with Afghanistan’s women in Education system. And to build a free, peaceful, and just Afghanistan and the world, we must make sure women are equally treated in the term of education.]
