Arunachal Assam bonhomie is historic

[we owe to those Assamese pioneers who lead us in all fronts …]

I have taken up with the DGP Assam Police , Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta IPS personally.

One Arunachal man from Along Limo Ete was harrased on way to visit his ailing father at Gauhati hospital. Who informed me his pathetic incident to me . Even allegedly illtreated by some cranky cop , immediately, I requested DGP Assam to take action against such Police man, he has ordered and enquiry on the incident, I have appraised DGP Assam on large complaints of Arunachal Pradesh people being harassed while driving in Assam.

I would request apart from kind hearted social worker like Bimal Gogoi, we must continue state coordination meeting for such irritant harassment by police, or other authorities, better have consultation before meeting Assam Police with Arunachal civil society organizations like Transport Associations , chamber of commerce, student unions, women organizations etc for proper ventilation of our problems with Assam Police.

During my time as SP, DIG, I used to invite neighboring Assam districts for coordination meetings with Assam SPs, OC of the Assam Arunachal bordering area, followed by local traditional picnic at riverside honour Assam Police with local gifts.

We used to have bonhomie of singing antakshri competitions during picnic. Vividly I remember, I hosted Party for the present DGP Assam a party at Banderdewa PTC after the coordination meeting with Assam Police when he was IGP Assam. Always greeted them on Bihu, made my OCs or Check Gates Incharges to have close personal liston with counter parts of Assam.

Even motivated local MLA, late Ngurang Pinch to host picnic at river Bank by inviting all DCs and SPs of Assam and Arunachal. He had organized such a memorable picnics at river bed at kimin.

Such inter state coordination meeting helped both state in promoting peace and brotherhood in sensitive inter state border areas, apart from sharing crimes related information.

So proud that one of finest IPS officer of Assam Cadre Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta is heading the Assam Police, he has taken lot of initiatives for modernization of Assam Police , his initiative for starting state of the art Cyber Forensic is indelible, – I have suggested DGP Assam Bhaskar Mahanta sir to develop these Institute into Regional Cyber Forensic Laboratory for North East States.

We need to continue this innovative strategy for peace and progress of both states of Assam and Arunachal.
After all , Arunachal has special relation with Assam, they were pioneers who came to hills for educating us and who’s icon Bhupen Hazarika love for Arunachal is immortal .

I salute to all those Assamese pioneers who dared to come to Arunachal hills for our future….lest we forget them.
