The Player Escort and Cultural Event participated students of Assam Public School felicitated by Joypur Camp of Indian Army
As a gesture of thanksgiving for the participation in the cultural programme and player escort in the inaugural and closing ceremony, in the recently concluded 18th Edition of the Captain Jintu Gogoi Vir Chakra Memorial Football Tournament held from February 15 to February 22, today the XIV Rajput Regiment of Indian Army honored the participating students and the teachers of Assam Public School, Duliajan involved in this regard.
On this occasion, an felicitation function was organized at the Assam Public School, Duliajan premises. Representing Indian Army Joypur Camp, Major Ayushmaan formally felicitated the students and teachers involved in the cultural programme and player escort.
I’m his speech delivered on this event Major Ayushmaan said, ‘To prepare for a performance within a short period of time with discipline and perfection has been a Herculean task. But the brave students of Assam Public School did this happen and their performances were liked by everyone.”
As a gesture of thanks giving, the Joypur Camp of the Indian Army given a momento and certificate of felicitation to 44 students taking part in the respective events.
Along with the students, Assam Public School governing body Chairman Japan Thapa, Principal Dr. Rita Gurung Kamalapuri, school teachers Anita Sonar and Rimikimi Sonowal honored by Major Ayushmaan on the occasion.
‘In Assam Public School we believe that only academic excellence cannot bring proper development in one’s personality. For proper personality development in the life of a student, it has to be holistic development.’– Dr. Rita Gurung Kamalapuri said on the occasion.
S.K. Nandi, president, School Management Committee, Doogdha Borah, president, PTA, Assam Public School graced the occasion along with the other teachers and parents of the students on the occasion.

It may be mentioned that, the Red Shield Division under the aegis of Spear Corps alongwith Oil India Limited, Duliajan and in support of State Govt of Assam organized the 18th Edition of the Captain Jintu Gogoi Vir Chakra Memorial Football Tournament.
This year’s tournament witnessed phenomenal success as more than twenty thousand spectators graced the opening and closing ceremony and the matches.
