Strip naked at Guwahati Airport; An 80-year-old disabled woman was allegedly “strip-searched” at an airport in India after her hip implants set off metal detectors.
The incident occurred Thursday during the security check at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Guwahati as octogenarian Nagalander Mhalo Kikon was en route to Delhi along with her granddaughter, East Mojo reported.
Ms. Kikon’s daughter, anthropologist Dolly Kikon, appealed for help on social media to get the attention of the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force), Assam’s CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, as well as airport authorities.

“My 80-year-old disabled mother was forced to strip naked at the CISF security checkpoint at Guwahati airport. Her security wanted “proof” of her titanium hip implant and forced her to undress,” Kikon tweeted.
“Is that how we treat seniors.” Ms Kikon subsequently posted a series of tweets urging immediate help. ‘Someone please help! The CISF security personnel team at @GuwahatiAirport are harrassing my niece who is taking care of my mother.”
“They have taken away the complaint form she has written. They DID not allow her to take a screenshot saying it’s not ‘allowed’. My mom is distressed.”
In another tweet she wrote: It is disgusting! “My 80 year old disabled mother mother was forced to pull down her undergarment and get naked. Why? Why?”
Someone, please help! The CISF security personnel team at @GuwahatiAirport are harassing my niece who is taking care of my mother. They have taken away the complaint form she has written. They DID not allow her to take a screenshot saying it’s not “allowed”. My mom is distressed,” Kikon added in another tweet.
