The people of northern Syria continue to wait

The people of northern Syria continue to wait for vital international aid to reach them, as efforts to rescue those trapped under the rubble remain hindered.
With each passing moment, the chances of finding survivors dwindle, and the desperate cries for help from beneath the ruins of homes grow fainter.
The constant stream of obituaries appearing in my news feed and personal messages is a heartbreaking reminder of the tragedy affecting so many families.
In a desperate attempt to save their loved ones, people are resorting to renting shovels, pickaxes, excavators, and other tools to dig out the remains of their families on their own.
The thought of loved ones trapped in the dark, without the knowledge that they are being fought for and remembered, is a crushing weight to bear.
More than 4 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) now live in northern Syria, many of whom have been forced to flee multiple times and remain in constant fear of ongoing fighting and airstrikes.
They have yet to rebuild even a fraction of their lives, leaving them in a state of constant uncertainty and insecurity.
Let us pray for peace for the victims, a swift recovery for the injured, and comfort for those who have lost family and friends.
