Give me rights to go to school!
Rabia Ahrar
Give me rights to go to school!
Give me the right , give me rights,
Even though some people took my rights,
Give me rights as a girl to go to school, university to build myself
I should have the right to know who I am,
Give me the right to open the door of knowledge and the light,
I should not walk with closed eyes in the dark street one side
Give me rights as a human or girl I need to get an education,
I should not live without light in the darkest night
Give rights as human to know the human rights and humanity
I should know how to change my mind with the way of equality
Give me rights as a human I need to have rights,
I should know how to eat, drink, and talk as a human being,
Give me rights as a girl, a woman, and a lady who I am,
With empty hands, broken hearts, with teary eyes,
Give me the right to go to school as human I came from far away,
No food, water, barefoot, with small clothes in the icy snow,
Give me rights, to show I am human not Asian, not east or west,
I am a girl like a bit of dust without knowledge in the land of humanity.
Give me rights; I am like other women I need to find education as a human being,
I should build myself by the light of education and knowledge.
Give me a voice, as the other girls and women they know the power of human rights!
