Good Lifestyle : Exploring The Secret Of A Quality Life
PARISMITA GOSWAMI

How much do you know yourself? I bet you don’t know enough. Knowing yourself doesn’t have to be the perfect size of jeans or shoes.
Today, the importance of understanding oneself has become obscure. As the human algorithm is changing, the meaning and purpose of life have been changing too.
We all prioritize choosing the best for us, whether for the job, home, or yourself. But, are you sure what you are choosing? What’s the best for you? To be specific, are your overall choices and decisions of your life worth it? Well, are you happy with your life and the lifestyle you choose?
Is luxury a lifestyle?
Well, no, it isn’t.
The question is whether the term lifestyle is confined only to the use in terms of what we wear, where we celebrate our Saturday nights, and what drinks we prefer? According to Merriam Webster’sWebster’s definition, lifestyle is “the typical way of life of an individual, group, or culture.”
Lifestyle is a broad term, and it is one’s mindset. No doubt, cinemas, and advertisements have contributed to the major misleading of many concepts and terms.
Today, individuals are least bothered by wastage and scarcity. Before wasting expensive food at restaurants or water at home, etc. They could hardly think of the fact that there are still children, men, and women dying in poverty and deprivation, war and crisis. How we sense things has become a major concern of the 21st century.

Recently, I watched a Netflix documentary, “Minimalism: the less is more,” and it struck me real good. The story focuses on two friends, Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus, known as ‘The Minimalists’, who show the benefits of living life as a minimalist life, traveling across the world, and spreading the message. While making the most out of a minimal life, these two men inspire us to be happy with less. And yet feel more.
Where does the problem lie?
I know many of you are struggling through the upheavals of life. Some have severe health conditions, some are going through mental trauma, and some feel spiritually non-aligned.
Don’t you think it is because we are chasing the wrong things and not choosing the right ones?
In my opinion, lifestyle doesn’t imply having everything but choosing a life where thoughts of limitation have scope for. Selecting a better lifestyle is choosing physical, financial, mental, spiritual, and social health over anything else.
Many people feel imprisoned by their current circumstances, even though they have everything. “That a man can himself… and master his own destiny is the conclusion of every mind who is wide-awake to the power of the right thought.”
Problems in human lives are undeniable, but they can be reduced.
You always have the choice to choose from. So why not choose to change? Change how you live, perceive things and choose good health, happiness, and wealth. Start today by choosing the right lifestyle and focusing on these five well-being aspects.

- Physical Health
Only if you are physically active, you will worry less about diseases and chronic health conditions. With regular exercise, your health dramatically gets better. Your increasing endurance and vitality, you will feel healthful with each passing day.
You can wake up early, go for brisk walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, or hit the gym after your work. But, preferring the morning cycle will be a wiser choice.
2. Mental Health

As you elevate your physical health, your mental health will start fortifying your thoughts, emotions, and well-being. Taking care of mental health is virtuous to lurk negativity from you, helping you survive the toughest battles.
We often disowned and discredited the formidable power that rested within us. It is because we are often demotivated. As we spend more of our precious time on material objects, ignoring what’s within.
“Once mental blockages start re-opening, you will be able to perceive things differently. Enjoying your surroundings and choosing more wisely your companions in life. Besides, it will enhance self-renewal and personal growth.”
It’s time to reconsider mental well-being and adapt to a new methodology that will boost your mind . Here are a few tips to take care of your mental well-being;
- Read some books
- Purse your hobby
- Watch good movies
- Set your self-care routine
- Spend time with yourself
3. Social Health
Once mental blockages start re-opening, you will be able to perceive things differently. Enjoying your surroundings and choosing more wisely your companions in life. Besides, it will enhance self-renewal and personal growth.
You will also learn to avoid toxic groups and individuals constantly trying to bring you down in life. An improved social health will help you surround yourself with positive people who lift your soul and vibrational energy.
4. Spiritual Health
Embracing your spiritual health is one way to live a meaningful life. It helps you in self-introspection and attain mindfulness. Both of them add value, magnificence, and wholesomeness to life.

The spiritual path will transform your outlook, and you will be able to enjoy the true sense of freedom. It works at the deeper levels to heal you. So that you can have the power of manifestation and a good life thereafter.
Afterall, the body, mind, and spirit work in harmony altogether, and one must preserve them. Indulging yourself in some mindfulness exercises and meditation practices will be the kick-start to your spiritual journey.
5. Financial Health
Once you fix the above four aspects, you can enjoy a better life. Being physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually healthy will reduce your expenses to the extent that you will be left surprised.
Let me explain with an example. Your increasing motivation towards remaining fit will reduce the consumption of trans fat, smoking, alcohol or carbonated drinks, fast food, etc. Switching to a healthy and sustainable diet can save your money and health. Afterall, a better life is all we need; nobody wants to die in their 40’s.

So, simplify your life and feel the best. Think about your lifestyle choices more than you think about what the world thinks of you.
