Made in Ukraine!
Yulia Svyrydenko
Eight months ago, when we launched the Made in Ukraine policy, our goal was to support our local manufacturers — diverse in scale and industry, but united by a single mission: to produce and develop Ukrainian-made goods. And our goal as a Government is to support them.
In this 8 month we made huge progress.
Today, at the event “Made in Ukraine” co-organized my UNDP Ukraine and Ministry of economy of Ukraine, I highlighted main achievements.
First — right at the event, we signed a historic document: the first investment agreement under the program supporting projects with significant investments.
Symbolically, the agreement was signed with a company that stands as a great example of processing — ASTARTA, one of the largest food producers and one of the biggest sugar producers in Ukraine and Europe.
The Agroholding will invest over €76 million in purchasing equipment and technology to enhance the processing of agricultural products.
This will create 110 new jobs and contribute to the development of the processing sector in the region, introducing new approaches to the cultivation and processing of soy. Government will support them with exemption from import duties on new equipment; exemption from import VAT on new equipment; corporate profit tax exemption for up to 5 years.
A few more key updates on the policy:
✅This month, we expanded the compensation program for Ukrainian-made machinery to include new categories of products. Up to 15% compensation will now be available for domestically produced energy equipment, wheeled machinery, construction, municipal, and special-purpose vehicles, as well as elevators.
✅For the first time in Ukraine’s history, our national Export Credit Agency has insured investments in an export-oriented company against war risks. In just a few weeks, we will announce another large deal for war risk insurance.
✅Another crucial development: for the first time in Ukrainian history, industrial parks are receiving state incentives for the development of industrial infrastructure. Nine industrial parks will receive funding amounting to 779.8 million UAH.
There are many more updates in the key areas of policy: fostering production, supporting non-raw material exports, and attracting investments into the real sector.
But instead of listing them all, I want to thank the business community for their resilience, their determination to keep working no matter what, and their ability to find solutions even in the most difficult situations.
Everything we do — we do it for you and because of you.
You are our strength. Thank you to everyone who is creating Made in Ukraine!
