Our minds instantly travel to a world of snowy wonder when we think about Kashmir. It is understandable why Kashmir is referred to as “Heaven on Earth.” The area is home to breathtaking scenery, snow-capped mountains, lush green valleys, natural lakes, and much more that one might appreciate and be in awe of for a lifetime.

When you hear the name Kashmir, what images come to mind?

Let me try: gardens, lakes, meadows, snow-capped mountains. However, what if I told you that there is a stunning waterfall concealed in the Pir Panjal range of mountains? Yes, you read correctly—Kashmir boasts Aharbal Waterfall, its very own Niagara Falls. It is so magnificent and lovely that residents of Kulgam and Shopian, two districts in south Kashmir, argue that it is theirs. It is located on their borders.

Kashmir offers a plethora of destinations to explore. It is the most well-liked location for couples on their honeymoons. It takes two hours to travel the 70 to 75 kilometres from Srinagar. Travellers can take a leisurely drive through quaint towns and stunning valleys to fully appreciate the splendour of the Kashmiri countryside. The mighty peaks of the Pir Panjal range accompanied you like quiet guardians as you drove through the picturesque surroundings.
