[ A Success story , we should know ]

Rajendra Kr Kalita, a fighter from his childhood , settled himself through his hardworks and attitude to win the race.

From a remote village , where there is no farm land  in his fathers’ name,  except a courtyard with a small  thatches house . The family nembers , his father , three sisters and three brother including him. His lost his mother in 1979.

Family  lIvelihood based on income from a small tea stall run by his father near by Borghuli High School. He also assisted his father in the tea stalk and passed the matriculate from the same High school in 1981. What to do next , he saw the burden of his father and decided to left his village in search of works .

Left his villge for Guwahati  with his cousin brother in search of works. Without having any experience, started working in a steel fabrication industries and evening he attended college for his higher education. Steel fabrication works consist of cutting MS Strips/rod / angle / flat etc, precision Arc/gas welding , grinding , painting etc , not an easy job to do or learn. He picked it up quickly through his hardwork.

In 1983 he applied for a loan under Self Employment to Educated Unemployed Youth ( SEEUY) at DIC Kamrup,  where the maximum loan amount was Rs.25000. He was frustrated, as he was denied the loan twice due to reasons one after another .I met him sometimes in January 1985 at Rajgarh, he explained the issue and also asked to meet the GM. Yes, probably the turning point for Rajen , aporoved proposal in Task Force meeting, forwarded his loan application to Bank in February and  started his Steel fabrication unit in April 1985, immediately after Rangali Bihu … the dream project for him.

An unskilled youth , became skilled through a working as a daily worker in a private industry , finally became an entrepreneur with an capital investment  of Rs.18000 only in 1985.

Next year 1986,  arranged marriage of his elder sister , 1987 he lost his father , took the burden of two brothers and two sisters and entire members if the family settled down in a rented house at Guwahati with him.

He returned his entire loan amount to bank , took a fresh loan of Rs.1 lakh in 1988 , added Steel furniture as a new product line to his industry. He lost his brother in 1992 due to his heart problem at Valore , he was in final year BA student of B Baruah College , Guwahati at that time. In the mean time he took the responsibility to arrange marriages of two sisters as well his cousins and brother too. His younger brother still with him .

He took another loan of Rs.7.5 lakh from bank with a comfortable CC limit  in 1994 and added Electric Panel Board to his product line and open up a show room called  SK Enterprise , 211 RGB Road .

Provided jobs to 11 youth and running his business smoothly.
He proved , if you have dream and capable to do hardwork, having confidence and commitment to your customers ; your back ground is immaterial where you are from, definitely you  win the race , Rajen is one of the rare example in this competitive world. You never believed that he is now above 50 , still a desirable man for perfact welding and paintings, still working with workmen , mantaining  always with soft voice and an attractive smile.

My association with him in his entire entrepreneurial journey , seen his sorrows , hurdles, joy, ete,  as he always like to share with me.

My heartiest wishes always with him, pray for fulfilment any dreams with him.

(For business enquiry , may contact him at +9198640 93749)
