Amidst the lockdown , The National Board of Wildlife  chaired by Prakash Javedkar has recommended permission for coal mining in the Saleki area of Dehing Patkai Elephant reserve which is a part of the larger Wildlife sanctuary.

The Dihing Patkai forms the largest stretch of tropical lowland rainforest in India. The sanctuary is also a part of Dihing patkai elephant reserve. It is inhabitant of many species,  endangered flora and fauna and different ethnic communities living in the area.

While this will lead to  cataclysmic of  natural environment and will pose a serious threat to the habitat. The list of damage is long but the causes that will lead to damage is  the consequental destruction of the natural environment

The Government of India has prioritised the maintaining of  environmental destruction even during the time of crisis.

They have jeopardized the natural environment for fulfilling their  avaricious desires. Please raise you voice to save Dihing Patkai and  resist this autocratic corporatist move by the demagogues.
