Yesterday morning, as I was washing my tea cup, thought to myself, I have to buy a new one. At the office, towards the end of the day, a Chinese colleague, who is an engineer, who works in our production department, came to me, and gave me a wrapped tea cup. She wanted to give me, as she would move to another location in New York City. I thanked, and told her, God loves me, for this morning I thought of buying a new cup for daily use. And I put it into my bag. After sometime, she came back with another, and said, I saw that you put that in your bag to take home. I said, Yes. “This is for your husband, so both of you can drink tea together”. So kind of her! She is a single mother of a very handsome little son, whose father is European. I said, “I will miss seeing your son”, She knows I love him. I love all the children of my colleagues, when they have no school, they come and spend the day at our office. Many draw and paint something for me. Few weeks ago, a younger colleague came to me and said, “Do you know, what my daughter calls you? Queen. She asked me if Jebeen the Queen of her country.” We both laughed. The reason she gave her father was that Jebeen is always so well-dressed! Thank you dear little girl. Yesterday her father came running to me to tell me that his 14 year old son just called to say, he got a letter by mail, that he got 98% in Maths. He was ecstatic, and asked his dad to tell Jebeen. For he knew that I would be very happy. God bless all the children, wherever they are.I forgot to write, as I arrived home, my husband told me that my tea cup broke. The old tea cup. And with a smile on my face, I just silently took out the Chinese ones with a flourish like a Magician.
