Today I stood in solidarity with the Kurdish and Iranian women with a heart full of pride.
Women in patriarchal and misogynist societies are poorly treated and systematically discriminated against because of being born a woman!

They are still considered second-class citizens by their governments and are being deprived of some of their fundamental human rights and freedoms!
For the past several days, people in Iran have been protesting after the death of 22-year-old Zhina Amini, a Kurdish girl who died in a hospital three days after being apprehended by the morality police in Tehran.

Whereas men and women in Iran protest against the dictatorship, women in Afghanistan are left alone on their own in the fight for justice, equality, and their rights and freedoms!
Today I stood in solidarity with the Kurdish and Iranian women with a heart full of pride and respect for the women of Afghanistan who stand tall and unshaken in the face of the Taliban’s brutality and inhumane treatment of their rights.
