Russia is a terrorist state that has been invading independent countries for centuries.

A Russian victory would mean that democracy is up for grabs and that state sponsors of terrorism can act without being punished.

This is not it.

For centuries Russia (the Russian empire, the USSR) has been violently trying to erase Ukraine (as a culture, a nation, an independent country).
