UKRAINE : This is our choice—to fight for it until the very end
Yulia Svyrydenko

Students and journalists, artists and human rights defenders, volunteers—107 heroes who sacrificed their lives to ensure that today we remain free from a totalitarian regime.
Eleven years ago, the fight for a free and democratic future of Ukraine began on the Maidan. For eleven years, we have continued what the Heavenly Hundred Heroes started during the Revolution of Dignity.
At the same time, for all these eleven years, Russia has systematically shown that its goal is the complete destruction of Ukraine.

Annexation of Crimea, occupation of Donbas, the full-scale invasion. The genocide Russians committed in Bucha, Irpin, and other temporarily occupied cities. Each of these moments was an unbearable pain for us as a nation.
Every time, we felt anxious and afraid. But at the same time, these were the moments that showed how strong we are when we stand together. In these turning points of history, we made a collective decision—this is our country, and we are the ones who decide what happens next.
We decided that we would never forgive the murder of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and that we must finish what they started. We decided that Crimea is and always will be Ukraine. We will never recognize it as Russian. We decided to fight for every inch of our land in 2014, and that we would not surrender in 2022.
Now, once again, it is up to us—UKRAINIANS—to decide.
This is our land. This is our country. This is our choice—to fight for it until the very end.
