What is happening in the West Bank, and in its surroundings, is not just a series of isolated events!

“What is happening in the West Bank, and in its surroundings, is not just a series of isolated events, but part of a profound geopolitical shift that is redrawing the map of the region.”
With this ongoing erosion of the PA’s role, real questions arise that many are afraid to ask: Will the PA continue like this? Or is it a candidate for replacement or complete disassembly?
Will the Israeli Civil Administration return directly? Or will the West Bank be divided again into functional areas, as was the case with the “village associations,” local entities created by Israel as a nominal alternative to genuine political representation?

Or perhaps, the West Bank will become mere “Arab areas” under full Israeli sovereignty, without any political recognition of a Palestinian entity?
These perceptions may seem harsh or pessimistic, but the reality is harsher. With the rapid changes in the region over the past year and a half, nothing is out of the question. The region is being reworked on fire and maps, not in accordance with resolutions of international legitimacy, the principles of human rights, or the justice of moral causes.
This reality, though we do not like it, must be told as it is, so that we know to which “abyss” we are all heading. The worst-case scenario must be put on the table to understand the fate of millions of Palestinians, and the millions of Arabs around them, in the near future.
The West Bank today is not just occupied territory, but a microcosm and reflection of what is happening in the region. A laboratory for a broader Israeli project, not limited to Palestine, but expanding regionally to include Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq.
Israel no longer talks only about its immediate security, but about its strategic surroundings. Therefore, we see it intensifying its military presence on the borders with Lebanon and Syria, expanding the security lines separating it, and gradually swallowing up territory in southern Lebanon.
In Syria, Israel has destroyed the regime’s military capabilities, leaving the new leadership a paralyzed political structure, unable to defend itself or its borders.
As for Yemen, Israel is monitoring its fragile composition and is seeking by all means, with American support, to establish a security equation that guarantees neutrality or loyalty.
As for Iraq, despite its apparent calm, it also seems likely to enter the equation, either through a new political change or by imposing a direct security reality.
