Why do the Taliban fear educated and independent women?
All they have done in the past nine months is restrict & violate the rights & freedoms of women. They have prohibited women from all the crucial spheres of society & now they want to omit their identities through the burqa mandate.
With their atrocities, human rights violations, brutal killings, & mistreatment and abuse of women, the Taliban want to create a “culture of silence,” as the Brazilian philosopher Paulo Friere describes. In the culture of silence, everyone accepts the situation without resisting or trying to change anything. The terrorists want people to accept what is happening to them and that there is nothing to be done!
However, since their takeover, the only group that has protested against them has been women, despite being arbitrarily arrested, tortured, beaten, & threatened by the Taliban. Therefore, they fear strong, educated & independent women who will never let them do as they wish!
