This morning I parked my vehicle under the six mile fly-over facing Jayanagar on the side where the ‘policemen on duty’ generally stand, waiting for my brother to catch up.
The cop on duty looked towards me and I conveyed by gesture that it wont be long and he reciprocated by a thumbs up sign !
Meanwhile, his senior officer showed up and I had to cross over towards the Jayanagar side.
Next, the senior officer walked up to me and said ‘you have created a problem’ and to my surprise he walked ahead and got the standing rickshaws to move, making room for me to park the car without creating any traffic disturbance.
Having done me a favour, he didn’t even bother to give me a glance !
It has been a wonderful experience and I sincerely thank the the team on duty who act on the ground as brand ambassadors of the State Police force .
