WORRYING
Sukanya Singh
‘Worrying’ is that strong force of emotion that helps the mind to dwell in negative thoughts in a repetitive form.
Truly speaking it is absolutely nothing. Worrying is just the process to make you tensed, stressed, depressed and all those negative aspects you can think about. Worrying does not add any happiness to your life. It degrades your performances day by day. It snatches away the peacefulness of your mind, the potentialities, misguides you with misleading thoughts. So why to worry??? Why to allow such emotion to live in you that is so harming in nature??? Here are some few tips to tackle this devil –
- Do not worry:
This is the very first way to tackle your worries. For example – Suppose you are not able to do the office work properly and your boss is just not happy with it. He comes to you and tells you to put some effort. What will you do? At such times, most of the people stay worried about the event that happened and keep on thinking about it. This way they lose their potentials more and the performance degrades day by day. So what should you do? Keep calm.
- Accept your mistakes
- Try to figure out your problems
- Push yourself a little
- Improve your performance
- Give your best
- Prepare for the worst:
This is the second way of tackling your worries. Sometimes things do not appear in the way we want. Sometimes we do not get the things we wish for. Always prepare for the worst scenario. To clear your confusion, let us take the above quoted example. Suppose you tried your best to complete the official task, still your boss is not happy with your performance. He is not ready to appreciate. What will you do then??? Try a little more to understand what he needs out of you. Even after your 100%, if you are asked to leave, what will you do???Again worry??? React positively rather. You will not die if you are fired from your current job. You are capable enough to get a new one and start fresh. Have confidence in you and your capabilities. Start working for your betterment. Take the lessons from your past and try to establish yourself in the present for the long-run with positivity. Believe in yourself.
- Get busy:
‘An empty mind is a Devil’s house’. Yes! You heard it right. Keep yourself busy. Follow your hobbies or things that you are most passionate about or else negative thoughts such as ‘worries’ will surely occupy your body and mind. It will make you inactive. Do not allow ‘worry’ to control you, get control over your worries.
Time waits for none. Start utilising your precious time in completing your left over tasks, do things that makes you happy. Sitting idle should not be encouraged. Life is too short to worry. So live life to the fullest. Best of Luck!!!
