This book comprising of 300 coloured pages with information regarding flora, fauna, ecology and other important eco-tourism aspects of the Wildlife Sanctuaries, National Parks and some important forests of Assam is a true milestone for Nature based literature in Assam. This coffee table book brought the rare chance for people of Assam to take a closer look at the rich repository of forests and wildlife of their land and share it with the world through its beautiful pages.

Nature’s Beckon – an environment activists’ group of NE India is one of most prominent environment organizations of India now.
This book elucidated the evolution of the nature conservation movement in India with firm environment leadership shown by the biodiversity conservation movement of Assam. From the community driven protection of Chakrashila WLS in western Assam to the resolute rainforest conservation movement for protection of Dihing Patkai NP in the eastern corner of Assam, these successful conservation models of Assam set a unique example of biodiversity conservation for rest of the country.
