OIL , Indian Armed Forces & NIEDO signs MoU for implementing ‘Project Darpan’ under CSR

A tripartite MoU was signed on Sep 29 between Oil India Limited, Indian Armed Forces/2 Mountain Division (through 181 Mountain Brigade) and National Integrity & Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO, a public charitable trust) for implementing ‘Project Darpan’ an ‘Army Preparatory School at Dibrugarh’ under OIL’s CSR.
The MoU was signed by Atindra Roychoudhury, Resident Chief Executive, OIL, Brigadier Arun Awasthy from Indian Army and Dr. Rohit Srivastava, CEO from NIEDO.
The event was graced by Bimal Bora, Minister, Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises, Govt. of Assam.
The project shall provide fully residential facilities to coach & mentor meritorious underprivileged children from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, primarily from the districts of Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Charaideo and Changlang to join the armed forces in various domains of Uniformed Personnel in Armed Forces like Army, Navy, Air Force NDA, CRPF, Indian Coast Guards and such others.
Starting FY 23-24, the project aims to cover 50 students during a period of 12 months.
