21 APRIL : BlueShirt4Burma is observed today on April 21 by wearing BlueShirt to remember & honor 10249 revolutionary comrades, activists, students & sisters of Myanmar in prisons.
995 of them have been sentenced by the Junta’s courts whilst 9254 await trial during 442 days #CoupAttempt.
21 April, 2022 marks the eighth anniversary of the death of U Win Tin – journalist, democracy activist, founding member of the National League for Democracy, and one of Burma’s most high profile and respected political activists.
He spent over 19 years in prison. Since his release, he kept wearing “Blue Shirt- prison uniform for men” as a protest & a reminder of the remaining imprisoned political activists.
