45^th TOLIC Meeting held at OIL, Duliajan

The 45^th Meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Duliajan was held on May 21 under the chairmanship of OIL, Field Headquarters, Duliajan. 

Rathin Kalita, General Manager (Public Affairs), OIL, presided over the meeting, where Badri Yadav, Adviser (AD), Regional Implementation Office (North-East Region), Deptt. of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India,  Diganta Deka, Officer (Official Language), OIL was present in the meeting.

In addition, HoDs and Official Language Officer/in-charge from Central Government Offices, Public Sector Undertakings and Banks located in Duliajan and the nearby areas also attended the meeting.

Diganta Deka, Officer (OL), OIL & Member Secretary of TOLIC, Duliajan, conducted the meeting and presented quarterly progress reports. During the meeting, the issues encountered in the implementation of the Official Language were discussed and required decisions were made to resolve them.

Badri Yadav, present as a representative of the Department of Official Language, discussed about the compliance of Section 3 (3), status of Hindi post, meeting and various aspects related to use of Official Language, organization of workshops, annual program 2024-25 based on reports received from all the member offices and gave his valuable suggestions for its progressive growth in accordance with the official language policy of the Government of India.

Speaking on the occasion, Rathin Kalita, General Manager (PA) congratulated all the offices on receiving the TOLIC Official Language Award conferred by the Department of Official Language for the year 2022-23 and expressed gratitude for their continuous cooperation in the direction of implementation of the Official Language.

Expressing satisfaction over the presence of large number of representatives from member offices, he called upon the members to maintain such active participation. To promote the Official Language Hindi, everyone should be motivated to do more and more work in Hindi in their offices, he added.

The 45^th meeting of TOLIC (Duliajan) concluded with a formal vote of thanks given by Diganta Deka, Officer (OL) & Member Secretary, TOLIC (Duliajan).
