In remembrance of our beloved: A tribute to the life of Manik Chandra Talukdar

With profound grief we inform the sad demise of Mr. Manik Chandra Talukdar, a doting husband, cherished father, esteemed community member and a beacon of wisdom. He departed for his heavenly abode on 9th April, 2024 at the age of 62.
Born in Borbhag, Assam on 1st January 1962, Manik Chandra Talukdar led a life defined by integrity, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his family.
As a devoted husband and a nurturing father, he exemplified the virtues of love and sacrifice, and epitomised the virtues of family bonds. His sage guidance, unwavering support, and abundant compassion enriched the lives of all who were close to him.
Throughout his life, Manik Chandra Talukdar was not only a provider but also a mentor and friend to many. His philosophy of kindness and compassion translated to his humility and the willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need and endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The essence of altruism, a defining ethos in his life, reflected through his work and his community involvement as he touched the lives of countless individuals and left an indelible mark on the fabric of society.
An avid admirer of Assamese literature, music, and culture, Manik Chandra Talukdar found solace and inspiration in the rich tapestry of the cultural heritage of the region. His love for Assamese festivities, flavours of Assamese cuisines, and the warmth of community gatherings was highly infectious, that brought people together in celebration of shared values and tradition.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will continue to inspire us and generations to come. While he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
The funeral prayer ceremony (Shraddha) to honor the life of Manik Chandra Talukdar will be held on Saturday (today), 22nd April, 2024, at our private residence in Guwahati.
May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
